The Information Security Technician 1 plays a foundational role in protecting Summit Credit Union’s IT infrastructure by monitoring security alerts, assessing potential threats, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity policies and controls. Capability Requirements
- Associate degree in information systems, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.
- One or more year experience in information security, IT operations, or related disciplines; or combination of applicable work experience and education.
- Understanding of SIEM, endpoint security tools, network security fundamentals, and incident response procedures.
- CompTIA ITF , Security , or equivalent preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux security controls, vulnerability management platforms, as well as security control frameworks such as NIST.
