POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a skilled Staffing Coordinator to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team. The successful candidate will be responsible for including, but are not limited to, staffing for all nursing personnel. Facilitates effective communication of employee needs and issues to the team and fosters positive change, professional/program growth and teamwork.
We’re looking for a highly competent and well-organized professional who values safety, security and patient wellness above all else. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for making sure those values are reflected in his or her staff at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Primary contact for all nurse staffing functions.
- Prepares staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CMA, CNAs).
- Review staffing routinely and make necessary adjustments based on census.
- Work the floor as needed.
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
- Coordinates administrative procedures with other departments as necessary.
- Uses appropriate interpersonal skills to guide others to accomplish objectives, facilitates teamwork, participation and cooperation.
- Follow the facility’s established procedures.
- Keeps abreast of current changes in administrative procedures.
- Prepares written and oral reports/ recommendations to the Administrator concerning human resources and related procedures.
- Ensures that the office is maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform required duties.
- Works with facility, regional and corporate consultants and implements recommended changes as required.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEPrevious scheduling experience required.
High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a CNA License from an accredited program.
- Possession of a current valid Texas driver’s license or regular means of transportation to and from work.
- One (1) year of experience as a nurse in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing or Long-Term Care (LTC) environment preferred.
- Experience/expertise in gerontological nursing is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a current and active license to practice as a nurse in this state.
