Overview
Location: Martinsburg Plant, Martinsburg, WV
Compensation: $30.97/hour
This position supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Follow all company guidelines and safety standards at all times.
- Operate equipment safely in the Pack House and during Bulk shipping processes.
- Keep the shipping and packing areas safe from hazards, maintaining a neat and orderly appearance that complies with environmental standards.
- Practice good housekeeping in work areas, including regular shoveling and sweeping.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on packing and bulk shipping equipment to ensure its reliability.
- Act as a customer liaison for truck drivers and customers, always conducting yourself with the highest level of professionalism.
- Conduct required equipment inspections and properly document pre-operational checks.
- Operate locomotives and load and move rail cars according to standard operating procedures.
- Understand that customer satisfaction is the top priority and dictates the work schedule.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment at the operator level.
- Utilize all required safety equipment, whether personal or company-provided, adhering to company guidelines and MSHA safety standards.
- Operate equipment in compliance with environmental regulations and strive to maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Be open to additional duties to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and uphold our Values.
Abilities Skills & Knowledge
- Experience working with rail loading and loading tractor trailers.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively adhere to all plant safety policies and safe work practices.
- Proven leadership skills, along with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Capable of operating process computers and software.
- Proficient in using applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
- Self-starter with sound judgment and a positive attitude.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and other specified software to analyze and interpret data to improve
- plant operations continuously.
- Able to fulfill responsibilities associated with a 24/7 plant operation.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.
