- Demonstrates a consistently strong safety performance and complies with MSHA, OSHA, and Company safety rules.
- Repairs and fabricates plant components by welding.
- Repairs and maintains plant machinery.
- Troubleshoots and communicates problems with equipment.
- Dismantle and reassembles equipment, using hoist, forklifts, cranes and hand tools.
- Fabricate liners, chutes, pipes, tables, mounts etc.
- Conducts pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Replaces defective parts effectively, efficiently and safely.
- Maintains a clean workspace.
- Exercises proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
- Tests equipment when done with work to ensure operating correctly.
- May operates light equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and water trucks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in machinery maintenance, repair, welding fabricating, and equipment operation preferred.
- Must have a current and valid drivers license.
- Must have the ability to interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions in English.
- Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls.
- Must be a capable welder.
- Heavy machinery mechanic experience preferred.
- Ability to utilize all tools, torches, and welding equipment.
