- Repair and rebuild significant components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems on various trucks and trailers.ââ¬Â¯Ã¢â¬Â¯
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components to ensure equipment operates smoothly.ââ¬Â¯
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.ââ¬Â¯
- Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.ââ¬Â¯Ã¢â¬Â¯
- Adhere strictly to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Policies, Programs, & Procedures Manual and MSHA/OSHA standards while wearing proper PPE.ââ¬Â¯
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for diagnostics and repairs. Stay updated with the latest technology and repair techniques.ââ¬Â¯
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.ââ¬Â¯
Ability, Skills & Knowledgeââ¬Â¯
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, and diesel truck diagnostic software.ââ¬Â¯
- Must own hand tools.ââ¬Â¯
- CDL/DOT preferred.ââ¬Â¯
- Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.ââ¬Â¯Ã¢â¬Â¯
- Welding & fabrication skills.ââ¬Â¯Ã¢â¬Â¯
- Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnishes in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.ââ¬Â¯
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment or relevant training through vocational schools or apprenticeships preferred.ââ¬Â¯
- High school education or GED equivalent.ââ¬Â¯
