Summit Medical Center is looking for a Biller to join our Quality Care Team. Position is available at our Edmond hospital. This is a full time, day position working Monday-Friday.

Position Summary:
Responsible for all billing and insurance form generation functions in the facility.
Summit Medical Center's staffing is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other administrative areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.
Responsibilities:
- Follows billing guidelines.
- Documents concisely, precisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy.
- Reviews, generates and sends electronic claims. Mails claim when necessary.
- Communicates with all departments to ensure accurate claims submission, requesting or making edits and updates as appropriate.
- Performs follow up on all rejections in clearinghouse software and makes changes as necessary to re-file the claim.
- Updates claims sent via spreadsheet daily.
- Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
- Maintains and cares for department equipment and supplies.
- Performs net down adjustments on all accounts in a timely manner.
- Completes follow-up tasks assigned by posters as assigned.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Maintains established center/departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and center related business.
- Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors and other center employees.
- Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and center business.
- Manages month-end processes in their entirety, including, but not limited to, all reporting, account reconciliation, account adjustments, and account balancing across all systems. Attendance expected during month end processes.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years previous experience with Accounts Receivable/Billing/Insurance.
- Must be alert, honest, and of good character.
Special Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic computer and office skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Specialized training for electronic submission of insurance forms.
- An understanding of Accounts Receivable principles and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
