Summit Medical Center is looking for a Radiology Technician to join our Radiology Team. Position is available at our Edmond hospital. This is a full time position.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Radiology, the Radiology Technologist/CT Technologist performs radiologic procedures as directed to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury or the correction there of.
The staffing of the Summit Medical Center is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all radiologic examinations, including OR procedures, as prescribed by a physician utilizing proper technique
- Monitors and reports radiation safety issues to Summit’s Radiation Safety Officer
- Maintains and safeguards films, prints and records for each patient
- Assures all protective equipment is in proper condition
- Contacts radiologist when film needs reading
- Assists with patient positioning
- Assists with room turn-over
- Assists with maintenance of radiologic supplies and equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains established center/departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and center related business
- Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with patients, families, visitors and other center employees
- Documents concisely, precisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy.
- Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care and center business.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum 1 year experience
Special Skills and Knowledge:
- Operation and general maintenance of radiologic equipment
- Principles of Aseptic technique
- Principles of Standard Precautions
