What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Supervisor - Summit Diagnostic Imaging position at Summit Medical Group, P.L.L.C.?
Summit Diagnostic Imaging is recruiting for an Ultrasound Supervisor. This is a full time opportunity. This position supervisors Ultrasound staff and performs ultrasound procedures for patients.
Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)
- Supervises ultrasound personnel.
- Assesses workload to assure proper staffing levels are met. Monitors the productivity, financial, full-time equivalent (FTE) matrix and other reports to justify
changes in staffing levels. Seeks assistance from HR, Operations and Accounting departments, as needed. - Performs ultrasound procedures on all scheduled patients utilizing strict safely procedures and guidelines when applicable.
- Follows imaging protocols to assure consistent and accurate test results.
- Maintains certification required for the position; Attends continuing medical education, as appropriate.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures, including Corporate Compliance program, and follows state and Federal regulations, such as OSHA and
HIPAA guidelines. - Monitors the operation of assigned equipment.
- Maintains item stock and orders supplies as needed.
- Maintains appropriate logs, card files, film folders, and test results in an orderly fashion.
- Assists in other areas (such as file room) during idle times in assigned area.
- Performs duties and handles difficult situations in a professional manner while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative demeanor to patients, co-workers, management, and the public.
- Dependable and arrives on time. Notifies Supervisor at least a week in advance (excluding emergencies) of needed time off.
- Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program and policies.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each Employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the
implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients. - Performs related work as assigned.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; completion of a formal two year ultrasound program with documented clinical experience or documented on the job training.
Experience
Two years on the job experience in ultrasound preferred.
Certification/License
One of the following certifications required: RDMS, RDCS, RVT, RCS, RVS.
