Rockwood Medical Associates, a division of Summit Medical Group is seeking a Clinical Assistant (Xray Preferred) | Lab Processor to join their practice. This is a Full-Time opportunity. The ideal candidate will perform clinical assistant duties and collect and test specimens.Responsibilities : (List does not include all duties assigned)
- Exhibits sound clinical skills in assisting the physician(s) with procedures, as well as administering medications and conducting patient education.
- Performs clerical duties necessary for the physicians to see patients; contacts patients regarding test results or for other related reasons as directed.
- If needed, schedules patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
- Maintains neat, clean, and stocked exam rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures (including the corporate compliance program), and follows state and federal regulations, such as OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Adheres to site-specific protocols and expectations.
- Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients as appropriate.
- Identifies and labels specimens in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conducts designated laboratory testing.
- Assists in the care of the donor prior to, during, and after the donation.Education : High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.Experience : One year of medical office / clinical experience with phlebotomy preferred. CPT Certification a plus. X-ray certification a plus. Learn More
