Med Surg Travel Nurse RN
Job Summary
Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Med Surg Travel Nurse RN for a challenging travel nursing opportunity in Princeton, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to med surg patients with various diagnoses, including hip/knee replacements, diabetes, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, renal disease, and general surgical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress regularly.
- Administer medications, perform routine procedures, and utilize telemetry and EKG skills as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in Meditech Expanse charting system.
- Floating requirements: staff must float to other med surg units, ER, and critical care units as needed.
Requirements
- Certifications: CPR required for all direct care givers; ACLS preferred for RNs.
- Experience: Telemetry, EKG preferred, care of orthopedic patients.
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
