Job Summary
Supervises Diagnostic Imaging personnel and activities to ensure timely delivery of accurate test results and compliance with all applicable standards. Prepares for and performs imaging examinations and procedures for the purpose of medical diagnosis and treatment; assists with development of policies and procedures; and maintains a positive work environment that promotes SPMC values through effective communication and supervision of team members.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to support the Summit Pacific Medical Center mission, vision and values; comply with SPMC policies and procedures; and conduct themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner at all times.
Required Education And Experience
Certification/Registration/Licensure as required by the Washington DOH for each trained modality or active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialties as appropriate. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or ARDMS of an equivalent registry, required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Comprehensive working knowledge of radiographic equipment and how to properly care for this equipment. Ability to operate equipment according to established health and safety regulations following all policies, procedural guidelines and regulations. Working knowledge of all basic and special DI procedures performed at Summit Pacific Medical Center (SPMC). Demonstrated ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise and make timely and effective decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development, and life stages to meet each patient’s need Proficient in the use of current technology, including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively operate various computers and software programs, including PACS/RIS. Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify and employ communication strategies appropriate to the audience. Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, managers, and patients. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment. Ability to work with basic office equipment such as telephones, copier, facsimiles, computers, etc. Ability to work on-call shifts as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervises day-to-day DI operations to ensure the department meets service and performance expectations. Maintains equipment and physical space. Plans and coordinates schedules and assignments, purchasing and inventories, workflow, and workloads. Researches and addresses any technical problems that may occur. Monitors productivity, efficiency, and outcomes. Plans and implements adjustments as needed. *Supervises DI staff. Provides effective leadership and oversight of assigned staff; leads by example and provides support, guidance, coaching and correction when needed. Monitors and manages staff performance, satisfaction and engagement. Completes supervisory tasks in an accurate and timely manner. *Ensures DI staff are oriented and trained, and that staff competencies are maintained as required by regulatory agencies. *Performs quality assurance activities. Evaluates data and takes action as needed to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of results. Maintains manuals and records. *Performs examinations, and related activities of a Radiology Technologist or a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Maintains professional skills. *Acts as liaison between DI and other departments/personnel/patients. Addresses complaints or conflicts in a timely and effective manner. *Ensures compliance with all District policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and federal, state and local laws. Maintains assigned programs and records accurately and in good order, as required for efficient and effective operations. Assists with planning, budgeting, and execution of strategic initiatives. Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
