SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Warehouse Supervisor directs the activities of warehouse personnel involved in the receiving of various products into the facility, the control of inventory moving within the facility, and the picking and shipping of material and finished goods. The candidate is responsible for scheduling and supervising warehouse staff on day-to-day work and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·Supervises all shipping, receiving, inventory control and other activities performed by the warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
·Ensures quality, efficiency, and data accuracy across all areas within the warehouse including receiving, inventory, production picking, returns, shipping.
·Ensures condition of all warehouse material handling equipment is documented daily.
·Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
·Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by following and enforcing company safety standards, GMPs and PPE requirements.
·Strong technical experience and ability to quickly learn new applications to support operations.
·Ability to communicate and effectively resolve warehouse related issues with representatives from other departments.
·Works with other Supervisors to ensure coordination of the warehouse to meet production needs.
·Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
·Adjusts staffing to meet peak demands of the business; trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines team; resolves personnel issues.
·Tracks employee hours systematically, provides timecard and time off approvals for warehouse personnel.
·Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
·Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
·Ensures all established policies and SOP procedures are followed by warehouse personnel.
·Assists with inventory activities; supervises inventory control process.
·Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
·Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
·Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· 2-5 years Warehouse Experience
· Forklift Operator Certification
· Strong experience with WMS, preferably Nulogy
· Prior forklift operator experience in a warehouse environment.
· Understanding of safety requirements for lifting and equipment maintenance.
· Able to work in a team environment and take direction.
· Able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.
· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
· Adhere to company safety standards.
· Able to ommunicate clearly with managers, supervisors, and other team members.
· Attentive to detail, organized, and passionate!
· Takes pride in doing good work, and has a positive attitude.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures.
