Position Details:
Currently we are looking for one highly motivated candidate to join our evening grossing team at our anatomic pathology laboratory in Loveland, Colorado. You will be part of a team that works full-time, Monday to Friday, second shift hours. No weekends are required.
You will be part of a robust team of Pathologists, other ASCP Certified Pathologists’ Assistants, Grossing Technicians and Administrative support team members.
Qualifications:
NAACLS Accredited Program completion as a Pathologists’ Assistant.
ASCP Certified, or ASCP exam ready with certification imminent. New graduates or PA students nearing successful completion are welcome to apply.
The ability to work independently and in a team structure.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and utilize effective communication skills both in person and virtually.
Dedication to consistent personal and professional improvement, and a commitment to patient care.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
Prior Grossing experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proper specimen handling to include:
Proper and accurate patient sample identification – including fresh tissue, frozen sections, and cassette labeling accuracy.
Use of laboratory equipment in regard to cutting with microtome, dissection, staining and handling of tissue.
Adherence and modeling of all HIPPA regulations and standards, as well as modeling and practicing all safety standards when in and around grossing areas, labs, and surgical areas.
Maintain lab equipment as well as help to educate and train others on proper use.
Maintain all required certifications and annual continuing education credits.

Salary range: $110,500.00 to $130,000.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
