Pediatric Office Floor Nurse
Summit Pediatrics in Lee’s Summit, Missouri is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant or LPN with a passion for providing excellent care to our pediatric patients.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm NO WEEKNIGHTS, WEEKENDS, OR HOLIDAYS
RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS
- Facilitate flow of patient from waiting room to exam room in a timely manner to avoid patient delays.
- Perform vitals, measurements, assessment in a thorough/timely manner.
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions.
- Administration of medications and immunizations to infants and children.
- Assist providers with procedures as directed.
- Handles all phone calls using proper telephone etiquette and with appropriate documentation.
- Assists providers and nurses with follow-up patient calls as directed in a timely manner.
- Work front desk answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying insurance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Medical Assistant
- LPN
- CPR Certified
- Office Experience required/pediatric experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-physician out-patient setting.
- Must be able to use an EMR, will train on our current software platform.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintains positive professional relationship with providers, staff, and patient families.
PAY: Based on experience and license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
