Activities Assistant Responsibilities include:
- Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous.
- Provide residents with engaging, stimulating and interactive social programs and activities, under the direction of the Activities Director.
- Plan and direct resident and family special events.
- Decorate the community for special events and holidays.
- Ensure that residents are free from abuse (physicals, verbal and sexual).
- Supports resident independent recreation, based on individual preferences.
- Ensures the residents' right to make personal choices in agreement with the residents' service plan.
- Attends all in-service education programs mandated by SSL, State and Federal guidelines.
