Summary
The IT Manger will lead the team of software development professionals and Business Intelligence (BI). They are responsible for Project Management and delivery of services utilizing MS Project, Jira/Sprints. Resource planning, Business Relationship connection, project scoping, and setting the ‘definition of done’. Lead the Software Dev team to best practices in Data analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing software based on business needs and requirements. They will also provide excellent customer communication, design and document Data Warehouse, provide support on existing software, and lead the team to continually improve the software portfolio for Summit Polymers.

Summary
The IT Manger will lead the team of software development professionals and Business Intelligence (BI). They are responsible for Project Management and delivery of services utilizing MS Project, Jira/Sprints. Resource planning, Business Relationship connection, project scoping, and setting the ‘definition of done’. Lead the Software Dev team to best practices in Data analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing software based on business needs and requirements. They will also provide excellent customer communication, design and document Data Warehouse, provide support on existing software, and lead the team to continually improve the software portfolio for Summit Polymers.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Lead Design/Define Summit’s software data systems and how they relate to our business principles, requirements, and objectives.
- Plan, create, coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Lead the Software Development team to Design end user interface (PowerBI) to meet our customers requirements.
- Utilize best practices for data loading and extraction.
- Facilitate requirements gathering using expert listening skills and develop unique simple solutions to meet the immediate and long-term needs of business customers.
- Supervise design throughout implementation process.
- Report Project status to Senior Staff. Both at a high level and details.
- Provides outstanding communication to users and stakeholders. Have an in-depth understanding of key business areas (Materials, Finance, Purchasing, Production)
- Lead a team to establish and present Industry Standard options for designing and delivering the best software solutions based on sound analytical judgment, stakeholder input, and the customer’s best interests.
- Facilitate best practices on creation and design of databases, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions of varying complexity.
- Works with stakeholders to create current process maps, analyzes user and business needs, determines components and functionality, and completes Specification Packages for software systems.
- Ensure team updates and writes documentation for software systems.
- Architect integrations with existing software components and third-party programs.
- Performs and assists with business analysis and quality assurance activities as needed.
- Lead team to meet or exceed all department and individual KRAs
- BS in Computer Science plus 8 years experience in a similar role required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven manager of teams consisting of 5-8 individual contributors.
- 5 years’ experience of leading Software Development teams
- Demonstrated collaboration with teams and individuals that are not direct reports
- Jira/Project Mgt application utilization
- PMI certification
- Passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues.
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data.
- Ability to work independently and within groups.
- Flexibility and willingness to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
- A minimum score of 26 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test.
