Facilities Maintenance Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at Summit Properties. As part of our 4-person maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day facilities maintenance tasks on multiple properties in Chittenden County.
This is an active and independent position that requires extensive knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. You will also need to possess strong people skills and some computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of facilities maintenance principles and practices, as well as experience working with tenants and management. You will be responsible for managing work requests from tenants and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance/Handyman Work: Perform daily maintenance tasks such as painting, handyman work, plumbing, carpentry, and interacting with tenants.
- Work Requests: Manage work requests from tenants and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Capital Project Work: Assist with capital project work as needed.
- Reporting: Report to the Maintenance Supervisor and communicate effectively with management.
Requirements
- Maintenance/Handyman Skills: Possess extensive knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- People Skills: Ability to work effectively with people and communicate with management.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License.
