Community Manager – Summit Property Management (Texas)
Summit Property Management is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Community Manager to lead operations at a multi-family community in East Fort Worth. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who excels in resident engagement, property performance, and community development.
As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day property operations, enhancing resident satisfaction, and implementing effective leasing strategies. Key responsibilities include managing on-site teams, optimizing occupancy rates, fostering strong relationships with residents and vendors, and ensuring the financial health of the property. Responsibilities:
(include, but are not limited to)
- The Community Manager manages core business processes, including but not limited to staffing, leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, recruiting, training, and team development
- Monitor and manage the community rental rates to maximize income
- Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests appropriately
- Maintain the community’s appearance and ensure any necessary maintenance is reported and completed
- Implement creative self-created strategies as well as marketing initiatives as prescribed by the Marketing Department
- Partner with the Resident Services Team in processing applications, preparing and type leases and completing all necessary paperwork via Bluemoon
- Ensure that the apartment is ready for the resident to move in on the move-in date
- Welcome and orient new residents to the community
- Control expenses within the annual budget
- Ensure deposits, rental payments, and all other charges are collected in a timely manner
- Responsible for setting the work schedule for all on-site employees
- Lead by example and help your team grow by supporting their development
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of multifamily Property Manager experience required
- Proficiency in managing housing voucher programs (Section 8, LIHTC, etc.)
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent, college-level education strongly preferred
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- OneSite and Bluemoon experience preferred
- Industry designations strongly preferred
Physical Demands: The job is periodically sedentary but requires mobility (i.e. climbing stairs or squatting) to tour and inspect apartments/communities. Involves sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time and stooping for brief periods of time. There is some repetitive motion of the hands and wrists associated with using a computer.
