Summit Property Management (Texas) is hiring for an IT Support Specialist.
IT Support Specialist
Summit Property Management seeks a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong technical background.
Responsibilities: (included, but are not limited to)
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to IT support requests via email, phone, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Assist in maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Support routine backups and ensure data security measures are in place.
- Monitor IT systems for performance issues and escalate when necessary.
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software applications.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors for hardware repairs and installations as needed.
- Provide end-user training on new technologies and systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend upgrades or enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management
- Knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
Physical Demands: Will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, climbing stairs and ladders.
