Jail Clinical Coordinator and Supervisor
Summit Psychological Associates is accepting applications for a full-time Independently licensed master's level social worker, a Licensed professional clinical counselor (LISW or LPCC) or a Psychologist to lead our team at the Summit County Jail in the Behavioral Health Unit. A postdoctoral psychology fellow would also be considered.
The Jail Clinical Coordinator and Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight, guidance, supervision and training to all clinical staff providing services at jail locations. This position would also assist in the development of programming for all jail locations.
Other responsibilities include the following:
Providing individual crisis intervention therapy and psycho-education to inmates at the Summit County Jail.
Responding to all suicide attempts if on duty or being available by phone for remote consultation.
Facilitating weekly jail staff meetings with behavioral health staff.
Attending all jail-related meetings to coordinate with safety and medical personnel at the SC Jail.
Facilitating civil commitments to Northcoast Behavioral Health.
Approving/denying inmates for trusty status/transfer to other facilities.
Preparation and attendance at ADM Audits.
Providing interface with pharmaceutical representatives and behavioral health.
Assisting in the management of psychiatric services for inmates at the jail. Working with psychiatrists, psychiatry residents and psychiatric nurse to facilitate the psychiatric services.
Providing supervision to dependently licensed clinicians. Reviewing and signing off on non-independently licensed clinicians' documentation. Ensuring that all documentation is complete in electronic record and reviewing on chart closings prior to signing off.
Assisting in the hiring, orientation and supervision of new clinicians.
This is a 40-hour weekly position with daytime shifts and one to two evenings a week. This position may provide some holiday coverage with working 4 hours on the holiday but receiving 8 hours of time off another day that week.

Experience:
An independently licensed clinician is needed, with ability to supervise. A postdoctoral psychology fellow would be considered for the position.
