Job Overview
We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented person who finds joy in putting bill of materials together to make our building process as simple and as efficient as possible. The ideal candidate must excel at completing multiple tasks daily, have the ability to organize data into information, and be able to make an order of operations for specific tasks. The idea candidate would prefer to work in an office environment with exposure to a manufacturing floor when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Creation, maintenance and management of configurable Bill of Materials.
- Understanding of current production process and pump model offerings.
- Bill of Materials types include: standard, configurable, and custom from specialty orders.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Sales, and Pump Builders to determine specific parts and workflows for each build.
- Communicate with vendors and purchasing to identify part numbers needed for new and existing parts.
- Update or revise existing Bill of Materials. Review of internal request for change to Bill of Materials to make appropriate changes.
- Create shop routings for the construction of newly created Bill of Materials.
Skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP or NetSuite).
- Basic computer operation and understanding.
- Understanding of database structures.
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams operation and navigation.
- Good communication skills (interaction will be with a variety of people at varying levels of management).
- Self-driven and organized. Must have the ability to self-create tasks and complete these tasks in a timely manner..
- Mechanical background and understanding of rotating equipment and general hardware.
