Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and design, with proficiency in various CAD software. This role involves creating detailed designs and drawings that meet project specifications, collaborating with customer service representatives, engineers, and assembly shops to ensure accuracy and functionality of designs.
Responsibilities
- Create general arrangement drawings of pump assemblies and provide them to our customers via website and email.
- Revise and update existing drawings.
- Work internally with our assembly shops to make drawings for tools and have them quoted locally.
- Develop and produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
- Utilize software such as AutoCad (2D) and AutoDesk Inventor (3D) to create accurate designs and documentation.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Maintain organized records of design revisions, ensuring all changes are documented accurately.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on improvements or modifications as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Experience in mechanical design with the ability to create detailed drawings for manufacturing.
- Organizational skills with a strong work ethic are a must.
- Must be able to sit at a workstation for the majority of the day.
- Must have strong communication skills.
