What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping - 1st Shift position at Summit Racing Equipment?
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Perform standard vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning/disinfecting of assigned work areas, including occasional carpet and spot cleaning.
- Conduct standard mopping and thorough cleaning of assigned restrooms, including all surfaces such as sinks, toilets, partition walls, and urinals.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned lunchrooms/breakrooms, communal areas, conference rooms, and department workspaces, including cubicles.
- Remove trash from designated areas and dispose of it at appropriate disposal stations.
- Operate housekeeping equipment such as walk-behind sweepers, ride-on scrubbers, carpet/spot cleaning machines, or high-reach vacuum cleaners.
- Fulfill service requests from management, such as setting up conference rooms for special events or preparing coffee.
- Monitor housekeeping supply inventory and ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Complete miscellaneous projects as determined by management or upon request.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to stay on your feet for the entire shift, with constant movement and bending. Specific physical demands include:
- Occasionally (less than 1/3 of the time): Climbing, balancing, and talking.
- Moderately (1/3 - 2/3 of the time): Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and smelling.
- Frequently (greater than 2/3 of the time): Standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with arms and hands, and hearing.
- Occasionally (less than 1/3 of the time): Lifting between 25 and 50 pounds.
- Frequently (greater than 2/3 of the time): Lifting up to 10 pounds.
Experience: Preferred but not required: Two years of experience in the housekeeping or related industry.
Schedule & Pay:
- Schedule: Sunday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Mon- Thurs 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $19.60/hourly
