Internal Medicine Opportunity
Located in Los Molinos, CA, our clinic is 45 miles from Redding and 115 miles from Sacramento.
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time internal medicine physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, prescribe, and administer treatment to patients
- Supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers
- Oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel
- Review laboratory, x-ray findings, and diagnosis other tests
- Document EHR/Medical Records and keep case histories in accordance with our procedures
- Participate in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel
- Meet all contractual requirements, including quality of care (Quality Measures) and participation in Peer Review
Virtual Care Services
You will provide virtual care services by speaking with patients over the phone and video to assess their needs, gather important clinical history, diagnose, and provide appropriate clinical guidance or treatment.
Clinical Duties
- Manage a panel of primary care patients and provide comprehensive care (including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care) to improve health outcomes and quality
- Act as supervising physician to nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Use manual dexterity while using office equipment such as computers, laptops, keyboard, and mouse
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work well with patients, co-workers, and vendors in a generally comfortable environment office
- Employee must possess the following physical requirements:
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds (on wheels)
- Adequate vision to read increments on tuberculin syringe accurately
- Able to work on feet majority of the day without tiring
- Able to hear adequately for auscultation of B/PS
- High manual dexterity and tactile sensations on fingertips
- Able to reach above shoulder level to work
- Able to bend, squat, sit, and twist/turn
Professional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Hold MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completed and approved internship
- Hold a valid California State Physician and Surgeon License
- Board Certified or Board eligible
- Current CPR certification
- Sensitive to the corporation's diverse patient population
- Demonstrate clear knowledge of health system's clinic structure, standards, procedures, and protocols
