About the Job
As an Optometrist at our clinic, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality eye care to patients from diverse backgrounds, including those living in rural areas.
Responsibilities:
- Examine eyes, using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities.
- Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases as state law permits.
- Analyze test results and develop treatment plans.
- Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements, and safety factors.
Qualifications:
- Maintain authoritative skill and knowledge in the principles of sound medical practice.
- Be familiar with the scope of practice and be knowledgeable of the regulatory authority governing the practice of Opticians and Ophthalmic Technicians.
