We are seeking an Academic Primary Care Physician to join our core faculty team for the newly established Quinnipiac University Rural Family Medicine Residency in Winsted, CT. This exciting role offers the opportunity to shape the education of future rural family medicine physicians while providing primary care to patients across all age groups.
About the Role
This position combines clinical and faculty responsibilities, providing a unique blend of hands-on patient care and educational leadership. You will work closely with our experienced faculty team to deliver high-quality education and training to residents, as well as provide exceptional patient care to our community.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to adults
- Precept residents in various aspects of family medicine, including clinical skills and professionalism
- Contribute to the development and implementation of residency curriculum and educational programs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth and success of the residency program
- Pursue scholarly activities, including research and publication, to advance the field of rural family medicine
Requirements
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine
