While we began in residential roofing, our commercial division is rapidly expanding—and we’re seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Estimator to join our team and help drive that growth with accurate, competitive, and professional estimates.
Job Summary
As a Commercial Roofing Project Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating, estimating, and bidding commercial roofing projects including TPO, modified bitumen, coatings, standing seam metal, and PBR panel systems. This is a critical role that bridges sales and operations to ensure project profitability, accuracy, and competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate bid requests, drawings, specifications, and site conditions
- Perform accurate take-offs using industry software and drone/field measurements
- Develop detailed estimates and proposals for commercial roofing systems
- Identify scope, material needs, labor requirements, and logistics for each project
- Maintain working relationships with vendors for material pricing and lead times
- Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure seamless project execution
- Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and site visits as needed
- Track and manage bidding pipeline and deadlines
- Stay current on roofing trends, codes, and competitive market pricing
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience estimating commercial roofing projects
- Proficiency with take-off software (e.g., RoofSnap, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction practices, and material specs
- Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documents
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
