What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Technician position at Summit RV?
Summit RV is seeking a skilled full-time RV technician to join our service team! The RV technician will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on RV’s. The technician will also install RV accessories such as slide-out awnings, satellites and observation equipment.
A qualified applicant should possess plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and general carpentry skills. Applicants should also be detail oriented, self-motivated and be able to perform work independently.
Essential Job Skills:
-Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
-Documentation of all repairs completed within work order software.
-Tracking of all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications.
-Capable of standing, stooping, crawling and bending for prolonged periods of time.
-May lift up to 70 lbs.
-Able to work in varying environmental conditions such as heat, humidity and cold.
Experience:
-Minimum 1 year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
-Certifications in trade fields such as electrical, plumbing or HVAC a plus!
