Now hiring an experienced Crane Operator/Assembler to play a crucial role in assembling large, high-precision steel mill equipment. As a Crane Operator, you will collaborate with millwrights to lift, position, and assemble heavy steel components with precision and care. Your expertise in operating cranes and rigging techniques will be key to ensuring safe and efficient operations on-site. Some assembling and welding experience is a plus!
Crane Operator/Assembler Responsibilities
- Operate overhead and mobile cranes to lift and position heavy equipment.
- Work closely with millwrights to align, secure, and assemble machinery components.
- Inspect cranes and rigging equipment daily to ensure proper working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges during equipment installation.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of crane operations as required.
Crane Operator/Assembler Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating cranes in industrial or construction settings.
- Certification: Valid crane operator certification is a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of rigging techniques and crane safety standards.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Teamwork: Excellent collaboration skills and willingness to assist millwrights as needed.
