What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at Summit Skilled Solutions?
Seeking Pipe Welders/Fitters for work in a shop environment. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for pipe welding tasks, working on various fabrication projects including pressure vessels. We would like to set up a weld test for you if you have 3-5 years of MIG & Flux Core pipe welding and fitting experience.
Pipe Welders/Fitters Responsibilities:
- Layout, fabrication, fit, and welding skills are required.
- Using blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches
- Knowledge of conventional shop fabrication and welding equipment.
- Metric and standard prints must be read, as well as sectional views of prints.
- Knowledge of traditional shop fabrication and welding equipment.
- Must be able to pass a 6G test (GMAW and FCAW)
- Weld in numerous spots as specified by the prints.
Pipe Welders/Fitters Requirements:
- 3 years of verifiable experience
- Reliable transportation to and from shop is a must
- Welding certifications are a plus but not a requirement
