This position will be cross trained as a tech and a Front Desk Receptionist
Integrated Pain Solutions is an interventional pain management clinic that focuses on chronic pain, offering interventional procedures as well as medication management. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate an ability to work within clinical protocols and provide exceptional patient care to our patients. Responsibilities: Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician or nurse practitioner. Administrative duties include scheduling procedures and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties include taking/recording vital signs, medication review, preparing patients for examination/procedure.

Job Duties
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
- Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
- Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
- Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
- Protects patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or CNA program
- Experience in a pain management or primary care setting desirable. Special Training/Skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- EHR knowledge preferred
- CPR required
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and to communicate effectively.
- Some travel may be required (not often)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
- At least one-year relevant experience and/or training.
- EMR experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Keyboarding is a must.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
- Able to work collectively with administration and staff.
