FP&A Consultant (Private Equity Firm) – 100% Remote (NYC / CT Area)

Our client, a premier private equity firm, is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Consultant to support financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning for an upcoming brand acquisition. This consulting role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with strong financial modeling expertise, the ability to create projections, and experience in retail sector analysis.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive financial models to assess potential acquisition performance, including revenue, cash flow, and profitability projections.
• Conduct detailed scenario analysis and forecasting to support investment decisions and post-acquisition planning.
• Partner closely with the CFO and key stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations on financial strategy and operational efficiencies.
• Perform retail sales projections, analyzing key revenue drivers, seasonal trends, and market conditions.
• Evaluate unit economics, pricing strategies, and margin analysis to ensure sustainable profitability.
• Support due diligence efforts by preparing financial data, valuation models, and risk assessments.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making and capital allocation strategies.

Key Qualifications:

• Extensive FP&A and financial modeling experience within private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Strong background in building financial projections for acquisitions, particularly in consumer brands, retail, or eCommerce (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in Excel-based modeling, with expertise in DCF, LBO, and sensitivity analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting financial insights to executives.
• Prior consulting experience or M&A due diligence experience is a plus.
