Hours : Full-time Position, shift begins at 5 : 45am, occasional overtime and / or weekend hours will be required based on operational needs
Location : STOCKBRIDGE, GA
Summary : Summit Stairs & Millwork Inc. is hiring box truck drivers responsible for safe and efficient transportation of stairs and millwork products to customers in a manner that meets customer requirements. This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager.
Salary / Benefits : Starting $17-20 / hour, commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include health & dental insurance, paid holidays and paid time off.
Responsibilities :
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and properly document all vehicle maintenance problems and defects in writing.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations and maintain flawless driving record.
- Keep up with all gas receipts for monthly audits.
- Load and unload products from the truck and verify contents against work order and Shipping Ticket, which include verifying count and condition on goods unloaded; and accurate report all overages, shortages, and breakage / damage.
- Email pictures of products for proof of delivery.
- Build and ensure excellent customer service by consistently delivering orders on time and in good condition and by acting in a courteous and professional manner.
- Report customer needs and concerns to Shipping Manager.
