ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform Press Break Operations:
o Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.)
o Create, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute
o Manufacture product that meets quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.
o Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task
o Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels
o Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion
- Account for time and work completed via computer access E2 management system
- Keep equipment clean and maintain proper operating standards
- Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion
- Advise supervision of issues that arise
- Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance
- Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6s team lead
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation
- A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture
- Organizational and time management skills
- Self starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background
- Strong knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up
- Ability to use various inspection gages
- Basic computer knowledge
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting 1-50 lbs.
- Pushing & Pulling 1-50 lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands & feet required.
- Able to stand for up to 10 hours during a shift.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Press Brake Operator Position Details:
We are looking for a full-time Machine Operator to operate our bending machine. Previous metal manufacturing experience and knowledge of manufacturing, metals, machining, etc.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (10 hour shift)
