We are seeking individuals to support the daily operations of our steel fabrication facility. In this hands-on role, you will assist in the preparation, assembly, and finishing of structural steel components under the guidance of skilled fabricators and supervisors. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the steel industry and develop valuable skills for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the unloading, sorting, and organizing of steel materials in the shop.
- Clean and prepare steel components for welding, cutting, and assembly.
- Operate shop equipment such as grinders, sanders, drills, and overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, scrap metal, and other materials.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ensure all materials are properly stored and labeled for easy access by the team.
- Support the team in loading and unloading materials to and from delivery trucks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with fabricators and welders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools, such as grinders, drills, and impact wrenches.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a shop or industrial environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
