About the role
The primary responsibilities are overseeing AP and supporting the payroll function. This position reports to the Senior Accountant and plays a crucial role in helping the department run smoothly.
Responsibilities
Oversee the AP function
Support the Payroll function.
Administrative tasks like answering phones, ordering supplies, etc
Work closely with and support other team members of the department / company.
Location & commitments
The position is located in San Jose, California
Full-time, open to part time
This is an in-office position. No remote work.
Morning / Daytime shift, with some flexibility on the hours.
Candidate requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) – Highly desirable.
Experience with QuickBooks, preferably the Enterprise Contractors edition - Highly desirable.
Prior construction experience with job costing – Desirable
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
A degree in Accounting or Finance is desirable but we would consider someone without a degree that has relevant work experience if they are the right fit.
Detail-orientated, reliable, ability to multi-task.
Takes initiative.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education. (~$25-$34 / hour with the potential for bonus)
Health Insurance (100% for employee) after 30 days.
401K after 1 year of service.
