Deli Assistant Manager

JOB SUMMARY: A Food Service Assistant Manager is responsible for the Mid Shifts and Evening Operations of the stores deli, ensuring a high level of sanitation, store appearance and customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Store and deli opening and closing
• Complete required daily paperwork
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
• Lead the deli associate that they work with when Manager is not around
• Leave lists for the morning deli associates on what needs to get done
• Fill out all temp logs per company policy
• Communicate with Food Service Manager daily
• Implement all company promotional initiatives
• Make sure during closing all dishes are done for morning crew
• Ensure a quality buying experience for all customers
• Complete dishes before end of your shift
• Maintain image standards set forth and image surveys
• Check temps on all food every four hours
• Safely operate a deep fryer, pizza oven, sharp knives and other culinary tools as needed
• Attend mandatory meetings
• Ability to communicate with associates and guests
• Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork
• Other duties assigned by Food Service Manager including ordering and inventory counts

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting of 1 to 15 lbs
• Be able to lift 25 lbs on occasion
• Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist
• Be able to freely access all areas of the store
• Move quickly around store

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
