Deli Associate

About Us: Summit Stores is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. We are seeking motivated Deli Associates to join our team at our gas station and convenience store located in Richmond Vermont

Job Summary: A Deli Associate is responsible for the daily operations of the store's deli, ensuring a high level of sanitation, store appearance and customer service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Store and deli opening and closing
• Complete required daily paperwork
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
• Fill out all temp logs per company policy
• Implement all company promotional initiatives
• Ensure a quality buying experience for all customers
• Complete dishes before the end of your shift
• Maintain image standards set forth and image surveys
• Check temps on all food every four hours
• Safely operate a deep fryer, pizza oven, sharp knives and other culinary tools as needed
• Attend mandatory meetings
• Ability to communicate with associates and guests
• Ability to count, read, and write accurately to complete required paperwork
• Other duties assigned by Deli Manager

Job Requirements:

• Wear the required store uniform
• Available weekends, evening shifts, and holidays
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must attend mandatory meetings on or off site

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of 1 to 30 lbs
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
• Reaching above shoulder height and bending below waist
• Be able to freely access all areas of the store
• Move quickly around the store
