Sr Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tech Data Analyst to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex healthcare data to drive informed decision-making and improve patient outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data strategies that support operational efficiency, compliance, and healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze large, complex healthcare datasets to extract actionable insights, trends, and patterns.
  • Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders, providing clear visualizations and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and identify areas for improvement or optimization in clinical, operational, and financial data.
• Data Modeling & Data Warehousing:
  • Design, implement, and maintain data models and structures that support the organization's healthcare data systems.
  • Work closely with data architects to ensure the efficient storage and retrieval of healthcare data from various sources (EHRs, claims data, patient records, etc.).
  • Develop and implement strategies for data normalization, transformation, and integration across multiple platforms.
• Advanced Analytics:
  • Apply statistical methods, machine learning models, and predictive analytics to healthcare data for decision support, clinical outcomes improvement, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to design data-driven strategies that enhance patient care and optimize healthcare delivery.
• Data Quality & Governance:
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing procedures.
  • Establish and monitor data governance policies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
  • Promote best practices for data management and reporting across the organization.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data analytics, offering guidance and training to junior analysts and other team members.
  • Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment on key business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5 years of experience as a data analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role within the healthcare industry.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), and advanced analytics tools (Python, R, SAS, etc.).
• Experience with healthcare-specific data sources (EHR, claims data, patient outcomes, etc.).
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH) and data privacy standards.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical data insights to business stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying data-driven solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling in a healthcare context.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with data governance tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of healthcare cost management, value-based care models, and clinical pathways.
