Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Senior level Telecommunications Technician for a new opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO . The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining telecommunications capabilities for the CIMS III program. Position responsibilities encompass all technical aspects of CIMS III communications, including PBX administration, installation, configuration and maintenance of analog and digital phone lines. Must have experience maintaining voice mail and conference bridge services, communications wiring infrastructure, and wireless devices with data capabilities.
Essential Functions :
- Perform a variety of technical assignments on data communications equipment and systems.
- Complete terminal troubleshooting using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Install terminals, controllers, and test equipment and restore nonworking lines and / or equipment to working condition.
- Maintain liaison with outside vendors and orders circuits and / or equipment as required.
- Requires knowledge of specific modems, test equipment, and terminal configuration.
- May develop recommendations for the combined usage of data processing and telephone system hardware and software.
