Summit Technical Solutions (STS)  is seeking a DTS Help Desk-Senior to  serve as an SME with the Defense Travel System and application process, as well as with Joint Travel Regulation (JTR).

Primary Responsibilities

  • The DTS Help Desk Senior primarily serve as Subject Matter Expert to support USASMDC / ARSTRAT personnel with off-site / on-call functional and holistic Defense Travel System (DTS) and associated Travel Charge Card support assistance.
  • Assist the G8 Audit Readiness / Systems / Policy Division with Content Management (CM) and Business Process Analysis support service for maintaining audit readiness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist USASMDC / ARSTRAT personnel with travel request submission, itinerary selection, approval, funding, and reimbursements.
  • Maintain auditable documents for DTS, Government Travel Charge Card, Support Agreements, and Taskers in SharePoint and other databases.
  • DTS Subject Matter Expert (SME) in travel policies, DTS modules, features, capabilities, data requirements, and information flows.
  • Provide service desk support to receive, analyze, and resolve customer requirements in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise in database (SharePoint / web-based) customized applications with general knowledge of the Army Resource Management business processes, to perform Content Management (CM) and Business Process Analysis support service .
  • Assist Government personnel in providing customer support service for processing travel requests in DTS and responding to telephonic or email requests.
  • Serve as tier-II point of contact to assist travelers and approving officials with technical problems and questions concerning DTS process on topics ranging from software usage, troubleshooting, entitlements, travel policy issues, transactions, and DTS related payment problems.
  • Use the Government Travel Charge Card automated systems to assist travelers with activating / de-activating cards, or raising / lower dollar limits based on requests from the traveler’s supervisor or the Command Agency Program Coordinator.
  • Provide DTS expertise to group discussions as needed.
  • Audit travel authorizations and vouchers in DTS for compliance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) 7000.14R.
  • Maintain and update a daily performance log to track calls answered, work requested, services delivered, status, closeout, and audits.
  • Submit process improvement recommendations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

    Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
