- Assists in maintaining plant production by making repairs within scope of expertise.
- Interprets and follows through on work orders following various safe work procedures.
- Makes mechanical repairs on plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
- Learns to identify equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure.
- Begins to develop expertise in a specialized skill.
- Operates manual machining equipment or machine shop (Lathes and Mills).
- Interacts with peers, supervisor, and internal / external customers May work on special projects with peers from other work groups
- Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Sets up, monitor and operates various pieces of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
- May operate multiple machines simultaneously
- May perform quality assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications and ISO requirements
