Job Purpose:
To be available to provide the supports necessary to ensure provision of care and supervision to meet client needs. To be able to perform basic office work, cooking, house cleaning, laundering, and maintenance of facility, equipment and grounds. To Communicate and incorporate all skills training, behavioral management, and community integration while respecting the client’s rights.
Qualifications:
The ability to be a team player, and the willingness to be trained. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimal experience necessary. Must have a California Driver’s License, get DOJ Finger Print Clearance, be First Aid certified and pass a physical. Must be able to follow STS policies and procedures, understand the program design, IPP & ISP. Will need to take and pass the DSP trainings.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Establish and maintain a constructive and appropriate relationship with consumers.
2. Minimize risks of endangerment to health, safety, and the wellbeing of consumers.
3. Perform standard first aid/CPR and operate 24-hour Emergency Assistance Systems as appropriate to the need with respect to any specific consumer.
4. Fulfill the elements of the “Job Purpose” effectively and with quality.
5. Current and valid license, certificate, or registrations that may be legally required to provide the service.
6. Knowledge of or ability to learn behavioral/skills techniques.
7. Carry out the complete scheduled shift as set by supervisor.
8. Actively participate in regular team meetings.
9. Effectively and thoroughly complete data tracking sheets and progress notes.
10. Submit time sheets upon request.
11. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with management.
12. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
13. Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
14. Create and maintain scheduled calendar activities for consumers.
15. Mandated Reporter for client abuse and suspicion of abuse must be reported immediately to your supervisor.
16. Any other related job duties as needed that assist the well-being and overall quality of the consumer.
Qualifications
Must be able to pass a background check through Community Care Licensing.
Must be able to pass a physical and TB test.
Must have experience with Level 4i type particpants.
