Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
In conjunction with the House Administrator, evaluates new cases to identify placement on a continuum and coordinates services within the behavior consulting team; reviews cases to ensure effectiveness of behavior plans; oversees case discussion and review with the House Administrator; ensures that staff comply with departmental policies and procedures and regional center contracts and that staff employ best practices.
Provides direct services, which may include direct clinical assessments, Crisis Intervention, consultation to partner agencies and/or family members involved in the client’s life.
Treats subordinates as well as participants with respect and always maintains the dignity of the participant.
Implementation of policies and procedures; acts as a liaison between employees and management, including defining and advocating organizational goals and policies to employees and passing employees’ views to management; represents the House Administrator at meetings and performs site management duties when assigned or in the House Administrator’s absence.
Plan, organize, and prioritize the work of self and others; assign work, delegate responsibility, and coordinate work assignments with House Administrator; motivate and work effectively with subordinates from a variety of professions.
Orders supplies and determines need for PPE, maintenance, repairs, and furnishings.
Creates and maintains the employee schedules; filling in and covering as necessary.
Assigns rooms, assists in planning recreational activities.
Supervises records of daily logs. Making sure they are completed by the expected timeframe.
Schedules and coordinates group-sponsored trips and social functions.
Escorts individuals on trips outside the residence for community outings or to obtain medical or dental appointment.
Reviews the menu plans.
Creates cleaning schedules
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises leads and DSP staff in Magladry Ranch. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Need to complete the DSP training and be certified. Ability to understand and lead a team in program designs, IPP/ISP objectives and reporting requirements. Experience in behavior management techniques and/or applied behavior analysis. Evaluated to have clinical and personal skills to fulfill the job requirements/expectations.
Education and/or Experience
Related Bachelor’s Degree or 12-month experience with Developmental Disabilities as well as Mental Health population, treatment, and rehabilitation services.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must complete DSP Year 1 certification within 6 months of employment. Must have a valid California Driver’s License. DOJ fingerprint Clearance as well as first aid, and CPR certification.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
