This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Summit TRC is seeking a motivated and ambitious Linux Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will perform integration tasks like installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis of Linux based operating systems and other system or network components. If you have a knack for making different software and hardware communicate seamlessly at the low level (including bare metal), please apply.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, install, configure, and test Linux-based systems
• Integrate and test hardware and software components to improve system compatibility and performance
• Implement and manage virtualized solutions through tools like VMware or different hypervisors
• Develop scripts for autonomous deployment, monitoring, or configuration management using languages like Bash, Python, or Ansible
• Automate the creation, deployment, and configuration of virtual machines and containers
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network-related issues
• Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity engineers to design and integrate seamless solutions from the physical layer to the application layer
• Develop technical engineering documentation
