We have an exciting opportunity open for a Senior Financial Systems Reporting Analyst with the ability to work remote from any of the following states: AR, OK, MO, ME, MA, TX, SC, TN, KS, FL, NJ, NY or LA.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information within multiple transactional and reporting applications. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team implementing the SAP Group Reporting financial consolidation application. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and distribute consolidated financial statements and validate consistency of presentation prior to issuance
• Create and implement key controls surrounding the integrity of financial reporting
• Coordinate mappings between ERP general ledgers and consolidation application
• Prepare and test application functionality during system conversions and upgrades
• Research how to mine financial information from the ERP and generate new performance reports as necessary
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor or higher in accounting, CPA or progress toward certification required
• Minimum five years’ experience in accounting, financial systems, or FP&A
• Working knowledge of SAP master data is a must
• Experience implementing financial consolidation and reporting software
• Previous utility/FERC accounting experience preferred but not required
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• Desire to engage in problem-solving and developing solutions
• Ability to interpret journal entries and the impact on financial line items within income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Willingness to take initiative to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining end-user documentation
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP
