What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Custodian position at Summit Valley Services?
Summit Valley Services in Amherst, OH is looking for five part time custodians to join our team. This position is 15 hours per week in Lorain, Ohio and the working days are Monday through Friday. This takes place at one location and you will be assigned a zone and solely responsible for yourself.
The hours of this position are Monday-Friday from 4:30-7:30. Starting at a different time is negotiable upon hiring if these hours clash with a day job.
This is a great position for someone who has a full time position and is looking for a supplemental income without working a lot of hours in the evening.
Pay for this position is $14/hr plus an attendance bonus paid out once per month for an additional $1 per hour
Cleaning Professional
Job Summary:
The Cleaning Professional will clean, sanitize, and maintain offices, classrooms, and restrooms. You may be responsible for all types or a certain variation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean classrooms, hallways, and common areas, ensuring floors are swept, mopped, or vacuumed, and surfaces are dusted.
- Sanitize restrooms daily, including cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors, and replenishing soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the school, ensuring proper separation of waste and recyclables.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.
- Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
- Must have regular and reliable attendance.
- Must have a valid driver license.
Education and Experience:
- Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job. English is required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
