HOSPICE LPN - Meaningful Nursing - Per Diem On Call - Thursday-Saturday

Position: Flexible Per-Diem work is available for fill-in weekday visits, and evenings and weekends on-call. Opportunities for additional scheduled work can be available after training.

During their shift, duties of the on-call LPN include:

-Being readily available to answer calls from patients and families.

-Triaging patient and family needs over the phone and making visits, if necessary.

-Often educating Patient/Family/Caregiver/Nursing Home Staff on administration of medication, symptom management, and pain control is needed.

-Home visits by the On-Call RN are encouraged to provide further support in difficult moments.

The successful applicant has:

-Current Nevada LPN or RN License

-Must live within 1 hour of our South Reno office

-Compassionate and nurturing personality

-Strong team player philosophy

-Strong communication abilities

-Excellent writing and charting skills

-Ability to pass a Level 2 background check

-Reliable transportation

-Previous experience with Hospice or Home Care is preferred.
