  • Status : Full-time or Part time, in-person

What You’ll Do :

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Prepares various month-end closing journal entries. Reconciles accounts and research anomalies. Assists with various statutory filings and grant billings. Assists with audit preparations and produces work papers for auditors. Works with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

We will consider candidates interested in part-time or full-time work, as well as those with less experience who demonstrate strong potential and a willingness to learn.

Objectives of the Role :

  • Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting : Maintain integrity in financial transactions by properly recording and reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Support Month-End and Year-End Close Processes : Assist in closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Enhance Grant and Fund Accounting Compliance : Maintain compliance with grant requirements, accurately track restricted funds, and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
  • Strengthen Internal Controls : Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize Revenue and Expense Management : Monitor financial transactions and provide analysis to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Facilitate Audit and Compliance Activities : Support the preparation of audit documentation and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work with internal stakeholders to streamline financial operations and provide insights to support organizational goals.
  • Assist in Payroll and Accounts Payable Processes : Ensure accuracy in payroll processing and accounts payable functions while serving as a backup when necessary.
  • Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university. Additional accounting experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • 3 years of experience in accounting. Candidates with less experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and related concepts.
  • Highly Desired :

  • Audit experience.
  • CPA.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and regulatory compliance in the healthcare industry.
  • Bilingual / bi-cultural.

    The typical hiring range for this position is $68,182 to $81,817 annually, based on relevant years of experience and full time. Part-time positions will be adjusted accordingly.
