Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic, visionary, and highly motivated Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who is deeply familiar with our values, culture, and strategic priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary, inspirational and dynamic individual, looking to take on the role of shaping the future of the organization.

As CEO, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the organization’s vision and operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services while maintaining the organizational integrity and fostering strong community relationships. This position will leverage your knowledge of both the organization's day-to-day functions and our long-term goals, making it the perfect next step for a motivated internal leader.

This person will bring a unique and valuable understanding of our organization's mission, values, and culture. Your experience within the community-based behavioral health environment, along with your commitment to clients and staff, will be invaluable as you step into this leadership role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Vision & Leadership : Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and execute a strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Provide leadership to inspire and motivate staff at all levels.
  • Operational Excellence : Oversee the strategic operations of the organization, ensuring the efficient delivery of services, compliance with regulatory requirements, and alignment with best practices in behavioral health.
  • Financial Management : Maintain fiscal responsibility, including overseeing budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation. Drive initiatives to secure funding through grants, partnerships, and revenue-generation models.
  • Community Engagement & Advocacy : Strengthen partnerships with local, state, and national stakeholders, advocating for behavioral health policies that benefit the community. Build relationships with community leaders and external partners to raise awareness and support for our mission.
  • Organizational Culture : Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture. Encourage professional development, support staff well-being, and ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Governance & Compliance : Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. Work closely with the Board to support governance processes and ensure accountability.

Qualifications :

  • Proven leadership experience in the behavioral health or human services sector, with a strong understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • A minimum of 10 years demonstrating a diverse range of roles, skills and responsibilities within a similar organization
  • Well versed in the current issues within healthcare and behavioral health
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, including clinical operations, program development, and industry best practices.
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors and developing and implementing successful strategic initiatives that align with mission-driven work.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to community engagement, cultural competence, and providing inclusive services to individuals from all backgrounds.
  • Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, public health, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A current license in social work, marriage and family therapy or counseling is preferred.
  • The typical hiring range for this position is 275,000 to $320,000 annually.
